At b!rthvillage we believe in prevention and early detection and stress the importance of a complete annual wellness exam for healthy woman. This includes:
- Pap-smear test
- Breast exams and self breast exams are taught
- General physical exam
- Preconceptual counseling
- Contraception counseling: including natural family planning, hormonal contraception, diaphragms and cervical caps, IUD’s (Mirena and Paraguard)
- STI (sexually transmitted infections) screening and counseling
- Laboratory tests
- Holistic treatment of common conditions such as yeast and UTI, referrals for mammograms, ultrasounds
