Why /when and where do I join for a Lamaze Class?

Lamaze Class

A recent survey of women in their childbearing years found that those who took Lamaze were more satisfied with the care they received in pregnancy and birth than women who took a childbirth education class other than Lamaze, or those who took no class at all. Whether you are a first-time or an experienced parent, the task of giving birth can feel overwhelming. Lamaze education is designed to give you the information you need to make the healthiest decisions for your baby, and give you more confidence in your body’s natural ability to go through the process.

For nearly 50 years, Lamaze International has been the leading provider of evidence-based education programs adapted from the World Health Organization that prepare childbirth educators to teach with skill and confidence. Certification by Lamaze International is the most respected and recognized credential and is considered as the gold standard in childbirth education.

Selecting a Lamaze® Certified Childbirth Educator ensures that you will be attending a class taught by a competent, highly qualified educator who works as an advocate for childbearing women and their families. The Lamaze credential (LCCE) identifies an educator who has passed a rigorous examination in childbirth education and supports the Lamaze Philosophy of Birth

Lamaze education is based on the best medical evidence, and millions of pregnant women have taken Lamaze classes over the years. The principles Lamaze is based on are just as relevant today as they always have been

Lamaze is essential resources for helping women understand how decisions about your care during pregnancy and childbirth can positively affect you and your baby.

Lamaze can help you feel more prepared for and satisfied with your childbirth experience.

By educating yourself about pregnancy, childbirth and early parenting, you are making a good investment in you and your baby

Childbirth classes help expectant parents learn about and prepare for labor and birth.

The Lamaze® classes that I teach at B!rthvillage are based dedicated to providing truthful, research-based information about how the human body works during labor, physically and emotionally. Women are taught how they can work with their bodies to reduce pain and make their labors more efficient using natural comfort measures. Partners or support persons are taught techniques to make them a helpful and valuable part of the birth experience. Breastfeeding and Newborn Care classes are included.
I also clearly regulate the class size to max of eight couples to involve maximum participation as well proper absorption of information.

The pros and cons of medical procedures in childbirth, including pain medication, are also explained and emergency childbirth, Caesarean is reviewed. Couples know their options and are empowered to make good decisions about their birth. It would be my privilege to be a part of such an exciting event in your lives.

At the end of this comprehensive course, you will be fully prepared to actively participate in the birth of your child
